Mike Myers was right. In one of the Austin Powers' films, Starbucks was an evil corporation run by Dr Evil that had it's head office on the top of the Seattle Space Needle.

Personally, I have always thought of Starbucks as an over-rated company that was bent on world domination. It appears that they are taking on the little guys so that they can increase their market share. Here is a story about one attempt to stomp on the little guys...

I have been to the shop that they are suing and must tell you that firstly, I was really amused at their creativeness. The shop is not trying to be a Starbucks at all, being that they have a totally different menu and they are in no way attempting to compete with the giant company. They are a small business located on an idyllic island where Starbucks should be banned. The lifestyle on the Queen Charlotte Islands should be protected from companies like Starbucks.

All I can think of is... Austin, Where are you? If you (a Canadian in Brits' clothing) cannot save us, who can?
